A breakout star of President Donald Trump’s impeachment proceedings, Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel partner Barry Berke brought his deep experience as a leading trial lawyer to Washington this year in a historic congressional investigation of allegations of presidential wrongdoing.

Berke, who chairs Kramer Levin’s litigation department, took a leave of absence from the firm in February to serve as special counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, which was tasked with making the case for impeaching Trump over his dealings in Ukraine.
