Willkie Farr & Gallagher has beefed up its Washington, D.C.-based securities litigation offering with the addition of two veterans from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The moves come as the latest of several key departures from the SEC into private practice in recent months.

In May, Steptoe & Johnson lured long-tenured SEC lawyer Coy Garrison. Garrison served for the previous two years as counsel to Commissioner Hester Peirce—who is often referred to as “Crypto Mom” for her support of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
