Bridget O’Connor, a business and tort litigator known for her work in the transportation sector, has left Kirkland & Ellis after nearly two decades to join Jones Day as a partner in Washington, D.C..

O’Connor is well known for a series of high-profile wins in recent years, including successful arbitrations for BNSF Railway Co., where she recovered more than $200 million and favorable rulings after a multi-week arbitration. She also played key roles in noteworthy multidistrict litigation such as representing BP in the Deepwater Horizon cases and General Motors in litigation over its ignition switches.
