Facebook Inc., facing increasing regulatory scrutiny over the role its social platform played in foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election, is seeking a compliance lawyer to focus on political activity, including campaign finance, advertising and lobbying disclosures.

The social media giant recently posted the position on its careers site and other professional job search venues, such as Glassdoor. The compliance counsel would, among other things, “assist in the design and implementation of companywide compliance programs and initiatives.”
