For 21 years, Jeff Marple has worked at Fortune 500 insurance company Liberty Mutual. For the past five of those years he was acting as the director of innovation for the company’s legal department and developing a name within a burgeoning legal operations community. So naturally, when the time came to select his next job, he chose … a law firm’s startup tech spin off?

Indeed, Keesal Propulsion Labs (KP Labs) announced today that Marple has become the company’s director of digital transformation strategy, a new role aimed at helping large law departments undertake digital transformations through the intelligent use of technology. KP Labs is a standalone company that grew out of California law firm Keesal, Young & Logan, and was co-founded by the firm’s Rudy DeFelice and Justin Hectus.
