While some corporations are ringing the alarm about potential compliance and regulatory risks stemming from “pandemic impulse” tech buying, law firms said remote working hasn’t increased their shadow information technology threats.

“Shadow” IT lurking in a law firm’s infrastructure isn’t a growing concern as firms largely continue to work remotely, according to chief information officers contacted by Legaltech News. Instead, they said monitoring peculiar network activity and highlighting the firm’s available software is preventing any possible upticks in unapproved software usage.
