Additional institutional shareholders have joined the Court of Chancery litigation against Fox Corp., widening the pool of attorneys who might lead the charge to hold management responsible for not stopping defamatory statements from being made during Fox News coverage of the 2020 presidential election.

Retirement funds for employees in New York City and the state of Oregon filed a sealed complaint Tuesday afternoon, represented by Friedlander & Gorris alongside attorneys with the Oregon Department of Justice, Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll and Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein. Another group of retirement plans, represented by Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann, appeared as plaintiffs in the consolidated case the same day.
