A Florida appellate court ruling affirming an award of several hundred thousand dollars in attorney fees was good news for a Fort Lauderdale law firm and its client, who was in a spat against a co-owner of their various entities that operated restaurants.

Glenn J. Waldman and Eric C. Edison, of counsel and a partner at Gunster, respectively, represented Bobby Genovese in the Fourth District Court of Appeal in an appeal filed by Anthony Perera. Waldman said the appellate ruling followed the consistent findings of two commercial arbitrators and two circuit court judges that Perera failed to prove any damages.
