A federal judge in Florida has granted Spirit Airlines’ motion to dismiss a labor lawsuit over the opening of an Orlando-based control center, finding it constituted as a “minor dispute” that must be submitted to arbitration.

Spirit and the Professional Airline Flight Control Association (PAFCA)—which serves both the flight-dispatch officers’ union and their exclusive bargaining representative—entered into a collective bargaining agreement on Nov. 26, 2018, according to the order of U.S. District Judge Roy K. Altman of the Southern District of Florida.
