The Appellate Litigation Project at Yale Law School, led by two Wiggin and Dana partners, gives students invaluable lessons preparing and arguing cases on appeal in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Third circuits, something many attorneys don’t experience until further into their career.

Wiggin and Dana partner Tadhg Dooley said the project began in 2015 when a Yale law student noticed the lack of an appellate litigation clinic, which other top law schools offer, and took action to find a sponsor and faculty adviser to head up the project.
