The Statewide Grievance Committee filed two reprimands against an attorney who had “chaotic business practices,” along with presentments in Superior Court against three other attorneys, whose accusations include abandoning a client, practicing law during a suspension and attempting a nearly $80,000 withdrawal from a bank account with insufficient funds.

Alisha Mathers, who is based in Enfield, was found “by clear and convincing evidence” to have violated five Rules of Professional Conduct in addition to §2-31(a)(1) of the Practice Book, according to the committee’s decision, issued Dec. 17, 2021.
