Goodwin Procter is looking to further capitalize on its life sciences and health care success with the hires of longtime Boies Schiller & Flexner equity partner William Jackson and in-house life sciences veteran Matt Wetzel.

The two hires join the firm in Washington, D.C. Last year, the firm’s health care and life sciences practice were major contributors to the firm’s bottom line. In 2020, Goodwin saw 11.7% revenue growth and a 10.6% increase in profits per equity partner. Other firms such as Fenwick & West and Cooley saw life sciences catapult them to upward of 20% profit increases last year as well.
