Dechert has hired a pair of former Goodwin Procter partners to take leadership roles in its privacy and cybersecurity practice.

Karen Neuman, who until the move had served as Goodwin’s privacy lead in its Washington, D.C., office, is joining the firm as global head of privacy counseling. Brenda Sharton, a three-decade Goodwin veteran who had led its privacy and cybersecurity practice and also helmed its business litigation practice for nearly a decade, will serve as the co-chair of Dechert’s privacy and cybersecurity practice. She is based in Boston.
