Connecticut personal injury lawyers are pushing for new legislation to prevent outside parties, particularly auto insurance companies, from allegedly pressuring repair shops to cut corners when repairing cars after collisions.

John M. Parese, of Buckley, Wynne & Parese and general counsel for the Auto Body Association of Connecticut, said for years there has been tension between auto insurance companies, auto body repair shops and consumers.
