Comerica paid chief legal officer John Buchanan $2.5 million to leave the company in mid-2022, the Dallas-based banking company revealed in its latest proxy statement.

Buchanan stopped serving in his role on May 12, according to the filing by Comerica, a regional bank with $85 billion in assets and more than 400 branches.
