A federal judge considering whether to sanction Facebook and its legal team at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for discovery misconduct described some of their actions as “frivolous” and “abominable.”

U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria of the Northern District of California made the remarks at a Thursday hearing to determine whether to impose monetary sanctions in the multidistrict litigation over the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
