A federal judge suggested pushing back the trial date of Elizabeth Holmes’ alleged co-conspirator and Theranos executive Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani during a virtual hearing Friday.

U.S. District Judge Edward Davila of the Northern District of California—who also presided over Holmes’ trial—said Balwani’s Feb. 15 trial date “is just not going to work” in light of the surge in COVID-19 cases and the court’s suspension of jury trials through Jan. 26.
