President Joe Biden’s commission on the U.S. Supreme Court, meeting Wednesday for the first time, said it will explore over the next six months areas including proposals for changing the size of the court, how the justices select cases and the court’s jurisdiction.

At the meeting, which lasted roughly 20 minutes, the newly formed commission adopted bylaws and outlined five areas of research for a report that is expected to be sent to Biden by mid-November.
