A federal judge has unilaterally denied Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes’ latest attempts to knock out certain charges in the government’s fraud case against her.

In an opinion Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila of the Northern District of California found that the more than two-year delay between the first indictment and last two charging documents against Holmes and Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, the former Theranos president and chief operating officer, did not violate their Sixth Amendment rights to a speedy trial.
