Elected and Appointed

Brian P. Seaman of Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young was accepted to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2013 Fellows Program.

Seaman focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, products liability and banking and commercial lending litigation.

Lisa Kabnick was named Reed Smith‘s chair of global financial transactions.

Kabnick is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office and a member of the financial industry group.

Peter J. Neeson, a partner in the Philadelphia office of Rawle & Henderson, was elected chairman of the board of trustees of the National Judicial College, beginning in June 2014.

Neeson has served on the college’s board for three years and has also served as its treasurer.

Gregory G. Schwab, an associate in the commercial litigation and white-collar and government enforcement practices of Saul Ewing, was appointed to the executive committee of the board of directors of Philadelphia VIP.

Schwab focuses his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration forums.

Speakers

Michael A. Morse, a partner with Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick and Raspanti, presented at the Health Care Compliance Association‘s South Atlantic Regional Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla., on February 8.

Morse participated in a panel titled, "Anatomy of a Whistleblower Case."

Alice S. Johnston, a partner with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, served as a panelist for the American Conference Institute‘s 13th annual Advanced Forum on Asbestos Claims and Litigation.

She spoke on the topic "Year in Review: Examining Hot Jurisdictions, Emerging Trends, and What to Expect in 2013 After the Presidential and Congressional Elections."

Marybeth Stanton Christiansen joined Shrager, Spivey & Sachs.

She will be involved in all practice areas, with an emphasis on the firm’s growing nursing home litigation practice. •
