PITTSBURGH (AP) – A former Pittsburgh Public Schools student has sued a former school police officer who is awaiting trial on charges he molested the boy, among others, in 1998 and 1999.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review  reports the allegations in the lawsuit against the school district and the former cop, 44-year-old Robert Lellock, essentially mirror the criminal charges for which Lellock will stand trial in April.
The former student contends his study hall teacher either failed to report it when Lellock repeatedly pulled the boy and other male students out of class so he could molest them in a supply closes, or that district officials failed to properly respond if the teacher reported the incidents.
Lellock was suspended then resigned after the allegations surfaced last year.
His attorney and the school district solicitor did not immediately comment on the lawsuit.
