The Pennsylvania Superior Court has vacated a jury’s $1 million verdict to the victim of an automobile accident after concluding the defense’s expert witnesses were improperly precluded from testifying.

On Nov. 16, a three-judge Superior Court panel overturned the verdict that a Philadelphia jury handed up in May 2022 in the case Bell v. O’Neill, finding that defendant Jacqueline O’Neill should have been allowed to have two of her experts, an orthopedist and biomedical engineer, testify.
