Judge awards woman $26,270

On Jan. 23, a judge awarded $26,270 to a woman who claimed that she contracted food poisoning from eating at the buffet at Bombay Garden in Houston. She claimed that the restaurant failed to properly prepare the food and prevent spoilage and contamination. Kapoor went to a hospital the next day for cramps and diarrhea. She was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, given intravenous antibiotics and hospitalized for three days.
