Intellectual property law firm Patterson & Sheridan has announced that Tim Curington has joined the firm as a partner and associate Nick Smith has been promoted to partner. Both are located in the Houston office of the firm.

Tim Curington served previously as assistant general counsel, chief patent counsel, for Team Industrial Services, an international industrial services business. Prior to that, he was general counsel for several multibillion-dollar international businesses for an oil field services company. He has substantial experience handling all of a client’s needs involving technology-based agreements, IP asset licensing and other IP-related transactions, strategically managing and leveraging IP assets as part of a company’s overall business plan.
