Gov. Phil Murphy announced the creation of a new office and appointment of the first inclusion and diversity officer to his administration.

On Tuesday, Murphy signed Executive Order No. 265 to create the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the Governor’s Office and announced that Jayné Johnson, an attorney who was previously senior policy analyst at the Council of State Governments Justice Center, will lead it.
