• Elizabeth Geddes has been named chief of the organized crime and gangs section in the Eastern District U.S. Attorney’s Office. Geddes, who joined the office in 2006, has served since July 2011 as deputy chief of the general crimes section.

• Buffalo-based Goldberg Segalla has added five partners to its Manhattan office in the professional liability, business and commercial, and product liability practice groups: Emilio Grillo and Steven Capobianco, from Carroll, McNulty & Kull; Peter Biging and Jennifer Feldscher, from Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith; and Edward Birnbaum, from Herzfeld & Rubin. Also, Eric Cohen has joined the firm as special counsel from Donovan Hatem.

• John Roesser has joined Alston & Bird as a partner in the securities litigation team. He was a partner at Winston & Strawn.

• McGuireWoods has added Stephen Older as a partner in its corporate and securities group. He was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery.

• Sally Donahue has joined Jaspan Schlesinger in Garden City as of counsel in the trusts and estates practice group. She was counsel at Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone.

• Yankwitt & McGuire has added Suzanne Novak as counsel to its litigation practice in White Plains. She was a senior staff attorney at the Center for Reproductive Rights.

• Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has promoted three New York attorneys to the partnership: Laura Kaufmann Belkhayat, corporate finance; Sven Mickisch, financial institutions; and Gavin White, tax.

• John Sindoni, a senior partner in the financial services practice at Hiscock & Barclay, has joined the board of Onondaga Community College. He was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
