The Supreme Court will consider whether Texas and Florida laws regulating content moderation by social media platforms violate the First Amendment right to free speech, taking up the politically charged cases alongside 10 others Friday.

In a list of orders, the Supreme Court agreed to review conflicting lower court orders regarding the constitutionality of the Texas and Florida statutes, which Republican-led legislatures passed to stop perceived censorship of conservative views by social media platforms.
