U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York on Wednesday warned Sam Bankman-Fried’s attorneys that they have only a few more days to act if they want to request a postponement of their client’s trial, currently set for Oct. 3.

Cohen & Gresser partners Mark Cohen and Christian Everdell moved to preclude the government from using evidence turned over in recent days, arguing that Bankman-Fried would struggle to review millions of pages of new documents in any circumstances. They said such review is impossible while Bankman-Fried is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center, where he has limited access to a computer.
