New York Chief Judge Rowan Wilson has chosen as his staff attorney a lawyer who’s been working the last several years for state Senate Democrats, who hold a supermajority and confirmed Wilson as the state’s top judge. 

A spokesman for the state court system confirmed that Noah Mamis will be counsel to Wilson, and will commence employment after Labor Day. The spokesman said Wilson, who became chief judge in April, had no other comment.
