U.S. District Judge Denise Cote of the Southern District of New York on Wednesday dismissed a securities class action suit against the virtual healthcare company Teladoc, finding that the plaintiff investors failed to show that the company’s statements would mislead a reasonable investor.

The plaintiffs, represented by attorneys at Labaton Sucharow, filed the operative amended complaint in December 2022, arguing that Teladoc misled investors about the company’s success and prospects amid its $18.5 billion acquisition of Livongo Health.
