The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday asked a federal judge to remand its criminal case against former President Donald Trump to state court, arguing that Trump’s alleged criminal conduct was unrelated to his responsibilities as president.

In state court in April, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business counts in connection with an alleged scheme to pay hush money to the adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
