Clyde & Co. filed a lawsuit Tuesday in New York Southern District Court on behalf of Tsi-Translink (Taiwan) Co. Ltd. and other plaintiffs over a maritime contract dispute. The complaint, against Maersk A/S, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. and other defendants, accuses MSC of failing to deliver cargo in the contracted condition. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00460, Tsi-Translink (Taiwan) Co., Ltd. et al v. M/V Maersk Essen et al.

The plaintiff’s merchandise was among 750 containers that on January 16, 2021 fell overboard from a Maersk vessel traveling from China to Los Angeles when it ran into bad weather on the high seas, court documents show.
