New York prosecutors say a subpoena they served Michael Avenatti two weeks ago is routine and should not delay his wire fraud and identity theft trial scheduled to start next month involving ex-client Stormy Daniels.

In a five-page opposition to Avenatti’s trial continuance request filed late Thursday, prosecutors said they’re “willing to work with the defendant” to ensure the needed materials “can be provided in an efficient and timely manner.”
