Lawyers leave the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Justice and the White House to join firms in the Washington area.

Here’s our roundup of local hires and promotions announced in the first week of April:

Crowell & Moring
Marc Warren joins the firm as senior counsel in the aviation and administrative law and regulatory practice groups. Previously, he served as acting chief counsel to the Federal Aviation Administration. He earned his J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Jenner & Block
Christian Bartholomew joins the firm as partner in its securities litigation and enforcement practice. Previously, he was a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He earned his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law.

O’Melveny & Myers
Danielle Gray rejoins the firm as a litigation partner. Previously, she was President Barack Obama’s chief liaison to his cabinet. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Quarles & Brady
Gerald Wells joins the firm as a partner in the corporate-services practice group. Previously, he was a partner at DLA Piper. He earned his J.D. from the College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law.

Sanford Heisler
Vincent McKnight and Altomease Kennedy join the firm as partners. Previously, they were principals at McKnight & Kennedy. McKnight earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Kennedy earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr
Aaron Zebley joins the firm as partner. He previously served as senior counselor on national security at the U.S. Department of Justice and chief of staff to two FBI directors. Zebley earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
