Debevoise & Plimpton (New York): Timothy McIver joins the firm’s corporate department as international counsel to the London office. McIver will focus his practice on E.U. and U.K. competition law and utility regulation. Previously, McIver was a senior associate at Eversheds. He received his Legal Practice Course degree from the College of Law, London in 2001.
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn (Detroit): Paola Abi-Nader joins the firm’s intellectual property and technology practice group as an associate in the Bloomfield Hills, Mich., office. Abi-Nader will focus her practice on patent prosecution for high-tech companies. Previously, she was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She received her J.D from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2010.
Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker (New York): Jason Taylor joins the firm’s national medical malpractice and health care practice as of counsel to the Louisville, Ky., office. Taylor will focus his practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of medical malpractice and nursing home-related matters. Previously, Taylor was an associate at Whonsetler & Johnson. He received his J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1997.
