While the U.S. Women’s National Team was competing on a World Cup soccer pitch last week, lawyers for the U.S. Soccer Federation were quietly kicking off a fight in the nation’s  top court. 

U.S. Soccer on Friday filed a petition in the U.S. Supreme Court asking the justices to review a lower court ruling subjecting the organization to an antitrust lawsuit brought by Relevent Sports LLC, a sports promoter affiliated with Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.
