The ranks of Big Law alums who have been hired for posts within the Biden White House swelled in recent weeks, as lawyers formerly at firms including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Boies Schiller Flexner, Latham & Watkins, Covington & Burling and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz have moved to roles in the new administration.

The latest hires since February at the White House join an earlier wave of lawyers who decamped from firms including Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr; and O’Melveny & Myers. In many instances, lawyers in the Biden White House worked on either the campaign or the transition team, or both. Wilmer, O’Melveny and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer played roles in vetting vice president candidates.
