As the U.S. Supreme Court heads into the final months of the term, calls on Justice Stephen Breyer to retire have shifted from stepping down months from now to doing so immediately.

Paul Campos of the University of Colorado School of Law is the most recent—and demanding—voice. He argued in a New York Times opinion piece that Breyer should retire immediately given the fragile Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.
