Risk management and archiving software provider Smarsh is doubling down on expanding communication platform capabilities, announcing today that it has agreed to acquire Israel-based TeleMessage for an undisclosed sum.

TeleMessage provides mobile messaging and voice capture and archiving capabilities with a products portfolio that includes Mobile Archiver, Secure Enterprise Messaging and Mass Messaging. Through the acquisition, Smarsh is looking to provide a widespread data archiving and oversight solution that covers a wide variety of communication platforms, geographies and mobile carrier partnerships in the current “bring your own device” atmosphere, the company said.
