Rhys Dipshan: If the first day of ILTACON 2021 highlighted how the industry has risen to the challenge in an era of uncertainty and rapid change, day 2 was all about keeping everybody grounded. While legal professionals have adapted to the demands of a pandemic and a sped up technological transformation, they’re still dealing with some of the same age-old problems.

Take, for instance, the ongoing problem of change management. Sure, legal professionals have had to change over the past year and a half because they had no other choice. But that doesn’t mean new technology, processes or workflows is met with any less resistance. “As an attorney I hate change, we all hate change,” said Tim Fox, director, practice intelligence and Analytics at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, at a panel today on change management.
