The Pennsylvania Superior Court has ruled that a non-English speaking driver through Google Translate consented to a vehicle search by a state trooper that led to his arrest for drug trafficking.

A three-judge appellate panel consisting of Judges Jack Panella, Maria McLaughlin and Correale Stevens reversed the lower court’s suppression of the evidence in favor of defendant Vismani Canales Carmenates.
