A judge threw out false arrest and malicious prosecution claims against Cobb County and a police detective stemming from the arrest of an Alabama woman after she orchestrated a social media campaign targeting a woman she accused of having an affair with her husband.  

As detailed in court filings, Amy Everett’s husband told her in 2015 that he had an affair with a co-worker several years earlier when both worked in Georgia. Everett reacted as one might reasonably expect: She was disappointed, upset and angry.
