No award for plaintiffs claiming injuries
On April 12, a jury declined to award damages to a driver and passenger who both claimed multiple disk injuries. Dalia and Frank Maldonado were involved in a collision with Terran Sanchez, who didn’t dispute negligence. Dalia Maldonado claimed herniations from T12 through L5-S1, and Frank Maldonado claimed bulging disks from L1 through L5-S1. Defense counsel argued that the collision took place at too low a speed to cause the claimed injuries.
