A lawyer was suspended for three months, and another received a public reprimand, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. The suspended lawyer was named in two matters involving separate evidentiary panels. In one of those cases, the Bar cited violation of the rule requiring a lawyer to hold funds and other property belonging to his client separate from the lawyer's own property. He was suspended for three months and placed on probation for 21 months. The reprimanded lawyer was ordered to pay $750 in fees and expenses to the State Bar.
