After four years at Chadbourne & Parke, Abbe Lowell said Monday he is hopping to McDermott Will & Emery at the end of the month to head its white-collar criminal defense practice in Washington, D.C. Although he calls Chadbourne a "fabulous" firm, Lowell says he wasn't able to generate the kind of litigation opportunities he wanted. "It's a combination of size and practice areas," he says. Lowell's clients have included Rep. Gary Condit during the Chandra Levy scandal and former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Abbe Lowell, a highly regarded Washington, D.C., defense lawyer, is on the move again.
