In Los Angeles, a six-member team of securities litigation and insurance attorneys is leaving Stroock & Stroock & Lavan to join Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell.

Leading the team is partner MICHAEL PERLIS, a former Securities & Exchange Commission official. Perlis worked as assistant director of the SEC’s enforcement division for more than six years before going into private practice. Prior to joining Stroock, he spent nine years as a partner with Petit & Martin. At Locke Lord he will continue his national defense work in class actions, derivative actions and SEC investigations and proceedings, representing directors, officers, corporations, and accountants. He will also contribute to the firm’s white collar and internal investigations practice.
