Asylum work has long been one of The Am Law 200′s most popular pro bono causes, but representing asylum seekers has become complicated in recent years ["The Sheltering Storm," February 2006]. That hasn’t quelled the interest. In response to a query from The American Lawyer, at least 20 firms listed asylum cases among their marquee pro bono projects for 2006.
