Rick Lazio, who was defeated by a 2-to-1 margin in the Sept. 14 Republican primary for New York governor, apparently will be the party’s standard-bearer for a Bronx state judgeship instead.
Bronx GOP chairman Jay Savino said yesterday that the local party’s designating committee had selected Mr. Lazio on Monday night to run for the Supreme Court seat in the 12th Judicial District.
