Southern District Judge Stephen C. Robinson is joining Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in August as a litigation partner. Judge Robinson, 53, has served on the federal bench since 2003. Before that, he was the U.S. Attorney for Connecticut from 1998 to 2001. Skadden said Judge Robinson would focus on a variety of litigation matters at the firm, including internal investigations, government enforcement matters, commercial lawsuits and monitorships.

“Very few lawyers in the country have the unique combination of skills and insight that Judge Robinson will bring to our clients’ most complex problems, including corporate investigations and bet-the-company litigation,” David M. Zornow, Skadden’s global head of litigation, said in a statement.
