Ah, college life. Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is going back to school — and he’s bringing his wife and kids. Gonzales plans to rent an apartment in Lubbock, Texas, living month to month or maybe signing a six-month lease. But he isn’t taking classes at Texas Tech University — he’s teaching them.

Texas Tech announced on July 7 that Gonzales will be a visiting professor this fall teaching a class about contemporary issues in the executive branch. Gonzales, a Texas native, said he’s looking forward to his “adventure” in academia. “There were some extraordinary decisions and events that occurred during the previous administration,” he said. “I have the advantage of having been in the Oval Office when those decisions were made.”
